Camille Harris of Save Our Homes interviewing Ventura residents

“Save Our Homes” – interviews with Camille Harris about the City of Ventura, CA, building code enforcement is causing fear for the city’s residents. If they’ve replaced lighting, water heaters, etc. without permits, they’re being slapped with huge fines and over a hundred homes have been turned over for a foreclosure process. Granny flats have been gutted and low-income tenants evicted. “Community Meeting” – sponsored by Ventura City Council to educate and get public input about problems with the building inspections and code enforcement policies which are creating fear and hardships among city residents.
Filmed at Cabrillo Middle School, Ventura, CA on Sept. 11, 2010.
